Reasons Why Sakura Haruno Isn’t Liked by Naruto Fans

Even though Sakura is a Shinobi that is on team 7, known as one of the most iconic teams in anime history. She still makes to retain get the title of uselessness. The fact that she is not even a villain, Sakura has managed to enter every most unlikeable anime character list in every listing. It is uncanny. If you watch anime, you may already be aware of some of these factors, but not all of them. Here are the various reasons almost everyone does not like Sakura.

Some of the reasons cited include her unhealthy obsession with Sasuke, her mistreatment of Naruto when they were younger, her lack of help or overly reliant nature during missions and fights, her manipulation of Naruto with the “I love you” statement, and her failure to stab Obito’s eye during a crucial moment in the series. These reasons have led many fans to view her as a weak and unlikeable character.

1. Her Unreasonable Obsession With Sasuke

We know sakura for having an unhealthy obsession with Sasuke. Sasuke does not even give any attention. He has even shown his hatred for her in the past, and we’re not certain that he married her out of love rather than out of compassion. There are several guys, like Rock Lee and Uzumaki Naruto, who truly like Sakura instead of blindly chasing after Sasuke. What makes her pursue the last person who liked her, then? Hmm, cause she is Sakura. In addition to that, why does she still like Sasuke, when Sasuke made several attempts to kill her?

2. The Way Sakura Haruno Mistreated Naruto

Sakura made fun of and insulted Naruto when he was a young boy because he was an orphan. Not only for that, but because he had the nine-tailed demon Fox sealed inside him. Something over which Naruto had no power whatsoever, it just happened to him. Furthermore, she consistently punched Naruto without retracting her punch when they even became fingers and all. Also, Naruto never responded, which could have made her think that it is enough. She pushes and ignores Naruto from as early as the third episode, treating him like a weirdo.

3. Her lack of help on missions or Overly Reliant On Others during missions or fights.

It is known out of all the teammates, only Chunin and the rest are Genins. So, that would mean that she is better or stronger than the rest, right? No, she is still the weakest in the group. Yes, she learned from Tsunade, one of the 3 legendary Sanins. But that does not mean that takes away her mentality of always heading people’s help.

4 The whole “I love you” thing to Naruto

She Lied To Naruto to try to manipulate him. She knows that Naruto was still making up his mind on whether to save Sasuke or treat him as a terrorist. The “I love you” bit is not an emotional feeling, but just a mere second of relief.

5. Sakura Haruno Fails to Stab Obito’s Eye

The simplest thing in the entire anime history is to stay with someone’s eye. Not that after stabbing he will go into a rage. He won’t go berserk or anything, he is even the one that suggested that she should start the Rinnegan. This is because mass gets a hold of it, and it will complete its ultimate sage of the six paths form. But she didn’t. She froze for 2 episodes, allowing Madara to get the eye from Obito.

It’s worth noting that Sakura’s character development throughout the series is significant, she starts as weak, obsessed, and dependent but later on she becomes a powerful ninja, who can hold her own in battles and even saves her team members on multiple occasions, she also becomes more self-reliant and independent and learns to value and respect her teammates, especially Naruto.
